The Airbus A319neo is the smallest member of the A320neo family, designed for short to medium-range flights. It can accommodate 120 to 160 passengers in a high-density configuration and has a maximum range of up to 3,700 nautical miles. The aircraft features new generation engines and larger wingtips called sharklets, resulting in a 20% reduction in fuel burn compared to previous generation aircraft. The A319neo is capable of operating in challenging environments, including high-altitude airports. Despite its improvements, it has been the least popular variant of the A320neo family, with only 61 orders placed as of the latest available data. The A319neo offers maximum benefits with minimal changes from the baseline A319, extending flight ranges by up to 500 nautical miles or increasing payload capacity by two tonnes.
